In THE GUTTER, oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) lands a job as a bartender and shoe remover at his local bowling alley AlleyCatz. He feels like he’s finally found his niche. When money troubles threaten AlleyCatz, Walt is pressured by former pro-bowler and current drinking champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to embrace his role as the greatest pitcher ever to walk the face of the earth. While Walt’s love of big checks and aggressive playing style dominated the pro circuit, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently-retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), furiously tried to extinguish Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
