Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present)
Scenario
It tells the story of three very different families competing to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they think will solve all their problems. I was surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense after seeing many of the reviews explaining how they didn’t make it past the first episode.
I really love the cast and everyone’s performances
The show is a slow-burn mystery that may not be for everyone. I personally found it very funny and entertaining with a particular Liz Feldman tone that I like.
By the last episode, I was pretty invested in the story, despite figuring out the big twist pretty early
I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first because of my own biases (a lifetime of not being able to separate him from Every Loves Raymond), but that went away pretty quickly. All of the various characters have their own side stories that form a tangled web of chaos that is gradually, though not completely, unraveled.
But I’m not mad about it
I would love to see more of this series and I really hope they get a second season. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
