Chronology
It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Badingham as their long-standing rivalry turns sour. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner previously starred at Chavenage House (a rival Priory). The same filming location was used to depict Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC television adaptation of Poldark. from a few words, “wow, wow, Rupert Campbell-Black was blond and blue-eyed.” When I first saw Alex Hassell, I couldn’t believe those eyes and the way he carried that undercurrent that buried RCB. . He has an incredibly good cast and as a 40 year old fan of all the Gilly books I have no problem with Mr. Hassell. His eyes beat all my ideas of who could play Rupert. And it’s a remarkable thing for someone to achieve when the image of who RCB is, how it looks and behaves is so ingrained. Well done… I bet Jilly is happy!
