I’ve been waiting for Penguin since the series was first announced, and I can say that it’s every bit as good as I expected. Colin Farrell is absolutely amazing as Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin. He was outstanding in The Batman and is even better in the lead role.
One hell of a crime drama
The two of them fight to see who the #1 gangster in Gotham is and to “bring order to all the chaos.” Some people were worried that a supporting character like the Penguin wouldn’t be able to make the show work and wouldn’t work if it didn’t have Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not, because this is more than just a villainous character in a superhero show. It’s a gritty, violent crime drama that’s a lot of fun to watch. I hope we get more stories like this from this world.
